What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device (computer, tablet, or mobile) when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work correctly, remember your preferences, and provide information to website owners.
Under UK PECR, we are required to tell you what cookies we use and, for non-essential cookies, to obtain your consent before placing them. Essential cookies do not require consent as they are strictly necessary for the service to function.

Third-party cookies
Some third-party services we use may also set cookies on your device when you interact with their functionality on our platform:
- Stripe — When you visit billing or payment pages, Stripe may set cookies for fraud prevention and session management. These are governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy.
We do not control third-party cookies. Please refer to the respective third party's privacy and cookie policies for more information.

Browser settings
Most web browsers allow you to control cookies through their settings. You can typically find these under the browser's "Privacy" or "Security" settings. You can choose to block all cookies, block third-party cookies only, or delete existing cookies. Refer to your browser's help documentation for instructions:
Important: essential cookies cannot be disabled
Essential cookies (session authentication and CSRF protection) are strictly necessary for the EstateHQ platform to function. If you disable them via your browser settings, you will not be able to log in or use the platform.
Analytics cookies
We use PostHog (EU-hosted, Frankfurt) for anonymised analytics. These cookies are only placed if you click “Accept all” on the cookie banner. You can withdraw consent at any time by clearing your browser's local storage or contacting us at hello@estatehq.co.uk.
